Ayurveda is the traditional healing system of India which dates back over 5000 years. The philosophy is complex, but like most traditional medical systems, it is based on balance in one's system. It teaches that in order to maintain wellness, we must maintain balance in every aspect of our lives such as work, rest, play, exercise, and food. Most traditional medical practices have not been subjected to hard science (ie: randomized controlled trials), so it is difficult to accurately discuss the advantages and disadvantages. That being said, anything which encourages balance in life, is likely to lead to a healthy state

Every therapy have advantages and disadvantages both. All therapeutic systems are incomplete in their pros and cons. Some are very good in some specifc diseases and some are not upto the mark.

So is similar to Ayurveda therapeutic system For example Hepatospleenomegaly is an incurable disease condition in Allopathy, comparatively Ayurveda have complete treatment of this condition and cures disease.

The main disadvantage of alopathy over normal medical treatment is that allopathy does not work whereas most of the time normal medical treatment does. At the present time no allopathic remedies are recognized by the FDA to treat any condition.
