My daughter recently was diagnosed with a fungus growing in her right ear. The specialist said it was very unusual and gave her the antibotics to cure it. I took her back and the fungus is gone says her primary doctor (who's very questionable). Over the last couple of days she has developed tender red bumps on the back of her head. Now I've heard of lymph nodes swell when they fight off infection, but do we have lymph nodes in the back of our head? I took her to the primary doctor and that's the diaganois he gave us. Lymph nodes fighting the fungus infection she had. The bumps are tender to the touch and sometimes itch. They are painful when she lays down and she sometimes runs a low fever. Her throat is sore and painful for her to swallow. She's had a hard time sleeping lately and her mood has changed at times as well. Is there anyone who can help me? She's on medicad so it's very difficult to obtain a specialist. She's 14 yrs old and we have a dog and cat. Please help with these questions. Anyone who is experienced in the medical field or have had something similar to this. Thank you and God Bless..K White
They could be a number of things. they might just be acne, things such as pimples or something. if they are little bumps that are smaller than zits, then it could be Heat Rash, which is nothing serious. if they are bubble like it could be a cyst.
This could be ganglion cysts. They are small bumps on various joints that come and go. They are not serious but could be painful when pressure is applied to them.
i think it could be something serious so you should go get that checked out asap
the bumps are what the hair comes or grows out of
No, go to the doctor. It sounds like you have pustules, which could be a sign of a more serious condition.

Yes it is serious. It means he has quickly adjusted himself.
It could mean 'enormous cabbage' or 'enormous tyre'
Small red bumps on the skin could be signs of rashes or measles. It could also be a precursor to acne problems.

If they are hard, translucent little bumps - chances are it's a form of dermatitus - possibly hormonal. I get them too from time to time and there is no clear trigger. They take a while to go away - several weeks or months. Cortisone cream helps but can dry your hands out. I just let mine run its course.
