Assuming you mean the American Civil War...
1. The issue of slavery. The South was an agricultural society and wanted to have slaves. The Northern states abolished slavery and was mainly an industrial society. This issue went back to the very founding of the United States.
2. States' rights. Many Southerners didn't like the idea of "outsiders" (people in the North or from Washington, D.C.) telling them what to do.
3. Sectionalism/factionalism. This is similar to number 2. The South and the North were two very different societies; different priorities, different social norms, and so on. This lead to a lot of political and cultural misunderstandings.
4. Economic factors. This ties in with number one. The South would not or could not easily change from an agrarian society (King Cotton) to an industrial society. Slavery was seen by many Southerners as a necessary evil to sustain their way of life. Unfortunately many Southerners didn't see slavery as an evil at all. They just saw it as another part of life, like walking your dog or painting a fence.

The causes of the civil war were complex. Not just one state caused it
Three Proximate Causes of the Civil War are John Brown's Raid on Harper's Ferry, Lincoln's Election, and the Secession of the Confederate States.
The main causes of surrender during the American Civil War are the same reason for surrender in any other war,... one side overwhelms the other.
Causes of industrial growth after the Civil War were an increase in the steel industry and the growth of railroads.
Slavery, state's rights, cultural differences, and tariffs.
what was the causes of Liberia Civil War??
Three major causes leading to the Civil War were: 1) Economic differences between the industrial North and agricultural South, particularly related to slavery; 2) States' rights versus federal authority, with Southern states advocating for more state autonomy; and 3) Political tensions over the expansion of slavery into new territories and states.

it wasnt a civil war.
There is no civil war on today.
Missouri Compromise, Kansas-Nebraska Act, John Brown's Raid, Underground Railroad
The four basic causes of Civil war were slavery, statesâ?? rights, sectionalism and economic factors. The south wanted to have slaves because it is an agricultural society and they also didnâ??t like the idea of outsiders. Sectionalism and economic factors also tie in with the two causes and that is because they didnâ??t like to change.
