What are ideal gifts for families?

If you are giving a gift to a family or all the children instead of just one, you may be inclined to spend a bit more. These are some of my favorite options. First, consider a game system. The Wii is extremely interactive and works well with up to four players. You may also choose from the Play Station 2 or 3 and the Xbox or Xbox 360. Games like Guitar Hero allow 2 players to see who can complete the song with the highest score. (You must alsobuy a separate guitar controller.) Second, if the family is religious, consider buying them a family Bible or religious book. This may not get an abundance of use, but it will hold sentimental feelings and religious values that many families would keep tight. Consider personalizing the book if you know them well. Third, board games go over well with both media-concerned parents and fun-seeking children. This would be a good option if you are not spending a large amount of money on the family. Favorite games include: "Scattagories" and "Scrabble" for word-learning as well as "Operation" and "Blokus" for creative movement on a board (or inside a person!). Find a game section in a local store or online and browse. You will find something that fits with the family you are searching for. Fouth, depending on your relationship with the family and other various objectives, consider giving the family checks, savings bonds, or stocks. These won't rack up high on the kids' thank-you notes, but mom and dad will appreciate money for college or retirement. I recommend that you work everything out with a finacially-minded relative or professional before jumping where you might not see.
