Christians believe in one God, who is the Creator of the universe and has power over all things in the universe. According to the Bible, God created man in his likeness. The first people created in the Bible were Adam and Eve. They were placed in the Garden of Eden with a simple commandment not to eat fruit from a specific tree. They were tricked by a serpent, and subsequently banished from the garden of Eden, with the curse of death, meaning that they could die. They populated the world, and the world started to turn from God. For more information, read The Holy Bible.

Christians believe in a certain moral code, based on both the teachings of Moses and Jesus. Christians believe that all men sin (do bad things against the will of God) and Christians believe that sin is punished by death. However, there is one central aspect to Christianity. This aspect is the grace and mercy of God. According to the Bible, Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, was a sinless man who was sent by the Lord in order to become a living Sacrifice for all of humanity. As I said earlier, those who are guilty of sin die. Jesus Christ did not sin once in his time on Earth, therefore he doesn't die. When He is killed on the cross, He dies for us, but because He never sinned, He is resurrected. According to the teachings of the Bible and the disciples of Jesus, if you admit your past sins and you pray (ask God) for forgiveness, you will be forgiven and cleared of all guilt.

The Holy Book of the Christian religion is the Holy Bible. There are numerous translations in many different languages. The Bible is unique because the first stories (the Old Testament) is shared by the Jewish religion, or those people who decided not to follow Jesus Christ but instead followed their traditions, and the entire Bible itself is shared by the Muslims, those who believe that the prophet Muhammad was the supreme messenger of God.

Christianity is the most common religion in the world. It has spread to every continent except maybe Antarctica. Christians believe that Jesus Christ will return some day and those who have been faithful and humble in this life will live in perpetual peace and tranquility in the Kingdom of God. Christians believe that everyone who has not spoken out against the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of God that guides individuals) is eligible to receive the gift of forgiveness. Christians believe that those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will go to hell, a place of eternal punishment. Hell has been described in numerous ways, but it is not clear exactly what it looks like.

Christians believe that a person should not be greedy, but instead should dedicate their lives to the service of others. Christians are told to love their enemies, and there is a famous quote from the Bible that says, "Love your enemies as yourself." Christians believe that people should show others the path of righteousness, or the life that God wants people to live. Most Christians support collaboration in worship places called churches, but it is accepted that although this is helpful to most, it is not required and that as long as you continue to be active in God's will, you will be fine.

Christians do not believe that God answers every prayer that humans ask for. This is because human views differ from God's plan, and sometimes humans are tried in their faithfulness with trials of sorrow or agonizing pain. Christians also believe that homosexuality or bisexuality are against the will of God, and those born with those instincts are being tried by God in order to test their faithfulness by going against their human desires.

Christians should tolerate other religions, but should demonstrate the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ in their attitude and actions. Christians should spread their faith to other sinners, such as hanging out with the "bad kids" and influencing them as much as possible without giving into influence. Christians should live the lives that God wants them to, and Christians believe that they should let God take the burden of leading their lives (because God is all-powerful). Christians should lead lives that would reflect the glory of God and not show off individual achievement.

For more information, find the Holy Bible at your local bookstore. For additional info, you may also contact a local Christian church and ask the pastor (Christian teacher).

Christian beliefs vary, as there are 2 biilion Christians!! Most recognize Jesus as Savior and the Son of God. A Christian is someone who follows the teachings of Jesus.

When asked what the greatest commandment is, Jesus said " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments" (Matthew 22:37-40 NIV).

So there it is from the central figure of Christianity himself! One can debate the details...

The main belief in Christianity is Trinity; that is God (or Allah in Arabic) is the three (father, son, and holy spirit) in one and accordingly Jesus is son of God.

From Islam perspective, Jesus is one of the 5 greatest prophets (Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad; peace be upon them all). Muslims believe that Jesus never claimed that he is physically son of God and that he called his followers to worship God, the one and only one God with no partner, no son, no companion, and no associate.

Christians believe that there is one God, and that He made the world, and that when He gave the world to Adam and Eve (the first living people) they sinned, and so couldn't be with God any more (God can't stand sin). The payment for sin is death, and so Jesus (the only perfect person) had to die for the whole of human kind to save them. Christians have chosen to be saved by Jesus' blood, and so now are reconciled with God!

But why did God blame the people after Adam for the sins they didn"t do? I dont get if my mom did a sin I have to kill myself for it? I don't get it? If im missing something talk to me on my blog - jasminechic

Ooh, fun. Here it is. Christians (at least the theologically sound ones who don't shake, fall on the floor, speak in silly made up languages, or travel door to door pushing pamphlets at people) believe the following:

1. That there is an omniscient being called (among other things) God.

2. That He (God) created everything. All of it. There is not one thing in existence that he did not allow to occur.

3. That He chose to send us His son, who was simultaneously 100% man and 100% God. Nifty that God isn't bound by that pesky "you can only be 100% of one thing" rule that the rest of the universe follows, huh?...

4. That His son existed on this earth in human form for thirty-three completely sinless years and was executed by crucifixion.

5. That when Christ died on the cross, he took all of the sins (past, present, and future) of the world upon his back and through his death paid for them completely so that those who would believe in him could know eternal life.

6. That in order to get eternal life... you have to believe in Christ.

7. That God, through divinely inspired human writers, gave us a collection of books (The Bible, of course) that is complete and infallible (although the present versions do have what are undoubtedly copyist errors, Christians believe that the original Autographs of the scriptures are both infallible and inerrant) and that the book is the direct Word of God and should be studied as such.

(Okay, this next belief is basic in the sense that it is a foundational principal upon which the true Christian faith is built, but in the theological sense it doesn't get much more complicated...)

8. That the only way that someone could know God is if they were called by Him to do so. That if left to our own devices, as a result of our sin nature (which is bred in us as a result of that whole "Adam/Eve/Serpent/Tree of Knowledge" thing) no one would choose to turn to God. That we were dead in our trespasses before we were saved and therefore we can take NONE of the credit for our salvation. Salvation is a gift given by God for his good pleasure and nothing that was (or even could have been) earned. So we thank Him everyday, knowing full well that we are not worthy of anything, but were chosen anyway - and what an incredible gift that is.

There you go!

(And yes, before the WikiWhiners get started, I know I could go on for volumes about the tenets of Christianity... but this covers a few of the big ones, I think.)

the basic beliefs of Christianity are we believe Jesus and god are the same people that you can pick up the bible and read it for yourself unlike some people and that you can talk to god any time you don't have to have a reason but if you do Jesus is always there for you.

In Christianity, we desire to please God and grow closer to Him by a continued study and application of the truth of His Word.

...and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. I John 1:3

The Bible, as originally inspired, contains no contradictions or errors and gives us genuine answers to life's questions and the inspiration, peace, and confidence we need to succeed. Our spiritual growth is also called growing in God's Word.

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: Ephesians 4:15
