Non-renewable energy sources are the ones which we can only use once and of which there are relatively limited amounts available.

Typically, these are oil, natural gas and coal.

They were formed inside the earth over millions of years from dead organisms. Such fossil fuels (petroleum, methane, and coal) are non-renewable resources. If exhausted, they would take millions of years to be renewed.

Renewable resources on the other hand primarily use natural phenomena such as wind, sun, tides, and geothermal heat (replenished by nature), or biological resources that can be replaced over a short period.

Any of the fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) is a non renewable source of energy.

Any resource for which there is a finite or limited supply. Fossil fuels do not generate fast enough to meet our demand and use, because it takes millions of years to naturally form more.
the examples are coal ,oil ,gas and copper
coal and oil
Anything that takes more than a lifetime to replenish : coal, oil.
Natural Resources that are used up more quickly than they can be replaced are nonrenewable resources. Earths supply of nonrenewable resources are limited . You use nonrenewable resources when you take home groceries in plastic bags, paint a wall, or travel by car. plastic, paints, and gasoline are made from important nonrenewable resources called petroleum, or oil, petroleum is formed mostly from the remains of microscopic marine organisms buried in the earths crust. It is nonrenewable because it takes hundreds of millions of years for it to form.
Non renewable energy is anything that will eventually run out, for example coal, gas, all sorts of fossil fuels
A couple examples of non-renewable ressources are Fossil fuels (such as coal, petroleum and natural gas) and nuclear power (uranium) are examples.

AnswerAnything that's mined from the Earth.

In the field of energy, that includes:

*coal

*lignite

*oil

*natural gas

*shale oil

*methane (cow wiener because they eat so much grass, no joke, ask your science teachers or such because it is true, the grass causes flatulent digestion)

I Think Coal.

Nonrenewable energy is a resource that can't be used after it is used. Coal and oil are examples; once they have been used they cannot be renewed.

Why is it important to look at new sources of energy?

because if the problem of unrenewable energy resouses is unadressed for much longer, the worlds polution rates will skyrocket... and sooner or later the unrenewable sources will extingish and leave us with out power.

How can solar energy replace conventional sources of energy in various fields?

Solar energy is a renewable energy source. It is sourced from the sun, which in human timeframes has a long life for energy output. Solar energy is therefore an almost infinite energy source. Most convential energy sources (uranium, coal, oil, gas, etc.) are unrenewable. Such energy sources are sourced from the earth and so are finite. The timeframes for the "finite-ness" of conventional energy sources vary and are disputed. Conventional energy sources also produce negative by-products through their conversion to thermal energy, kinetic energy, and electric energy, such as radioactive waste, sulphur, CO2, etc. Solar energy is a clean (i.e. minimal negative by-products) but diffuse energy source. Current technology developed to capture solar energy is inefficient in capturing and concentrating the energy for distribution and use as thermal energy, and electrical energy, compared to conventional sources.

Why is solar energy widely accepted today?

They power your car or heat your house instead of using unrenewable resources

It is an unrenewable source, meaning it cant be reused or recycles. Once used its pretty much gone Also it polutes the earth

What are the different energy sources that are used to deliver energy to your community?

The energy sources that I am most excited about all have lower carbon emissions, compared to conventional energy sources. These include Biomass Energy, Wind Energy, Solar Energy, Geothermal Energy, and Hydroelectric Energy sources.
