Owner points, or "Trainer Points" are points you can eart to unlock things to unlcok more dog breeds, new Interior Decorater rooms, et., etc.
You cannot buy things with owner points in Nintendogs. Owner Points are just there for bragging rights-and to unlock new dogs. There is money, which is what is used to buy items.

There is no limit on how many Owner Points you can have. It would take away from the fun if there was. You get owner points by performing actions related to taking care of your dog.

Ok here are the steps, follow them closley 1. Turn your DS on 2. Get to the main-menu on your nintendogs game 3. Then press the icon that says go out 4. Then it would take you to another menu and right under all the icons it has a icon that says info, press that 5. That should take you to another menu 6. Then press Trainer Info 7. Then it should show your trainer points at the top Thats how you see your owner trainer points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nintendogs + cats will only work for the 3ds. It will not work with the ds, ds lite, dsi, or dsi xl.
Nintendogs is for DS. And i have to say, it was my first DS game and its really fun. Great for starters. But Ive not heard of cats before sorry.
