Very much like they do in Peoria, Palo Alto, Provo, Tacoma, Tulsa or Texarkana, As US residents continue to become more mobile, the Cooking Channel provides greater exposure to new cuisine, new restuarants open and grocery stores expand their selection regional tastes and diets take on acceptance among a broader selection of citizens. Sushi may never match the popularity of a Big Mac and Fries. Not everyone will go for Creole or Southwestern cooking. California Nouveau may be a tough sell in Texas but everyone seems to have accepted Pizza, Chinese and Tacos. As long as the Chesapeake continues to produce oysters and Maryland soft shell Blue Crabs the people of Maryland will be eating OK.

The same food as the rest of the country. The bay area also enjoys fresh seafood, mainly MD blue crabs. (Old Bay is a very popular spice.) There are also a lot of farms, so fresh produce isn't hard to find.
