Relations between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are very good. Its difficult to remember back when relationships would have been sour between the North and South - possibly before 1980's.
Today both governments of Northern Ireland and the Republic work together to provide a better future for those in Nothern Ireland and the surrounding border counties located in the Republic. From funding community projects to the two police forces on both side of the border working with each other to fight crime.
