First you must past a tape test which is, how tall you are and how many inches around your neck and waist, plus your weight. Depending on how tall you or and how much you weight, chooses how many inches you can have. For example 6' 1" and 175 pounds your maximum waist size may be 32 inches. Anyone over that can not join. Also a good medical history and a good record with the law. Some tattoos may also effect someone joining, but must likely not stop them. Also you must score higher than a 36 on your ASVAB. Also people without GED, just their GEE must score higher and have different requirements.

First of all, to get a job in the Air Force one should preferably be a citizen of the U.S.. Non-citizens can join the Air Force, however it is a complicated process involving birth certificates, Green Cards, and the jobs are very limited which require special security measures in order to obtain. First thing someone needs to do is go to the library and study the ASVAB guide. Take the test and score higher than 40. This allows for job placement. Then attend your AF recruiters office, pass a drug test and have good credit. You'll then go under basic training for fitness, pushups and situps.
