Yes, if you snort Suboxone it will work.
It is not a good idea to do so, however.
It can lead to ear infections, sinus infections, and other troubles down the road.
It should work just as well under the tongue, as long as you keep it held there tight under the tongue the whole time and do not speak or let it wash out before it's absorbed.

∙ 14y agoIt won't work that way. The reason people snort drugs is that snorting sends the drug straight to your brain, producing an instant high. But Suboxone doesn't work like that; it has to be dissolved under the tongue and swallowed. All you're doing by snorting it is sending it up your nose, and then back down your throat, where it will be dissolved by your saliva and swallowed. So there no point; you might as well skip the long trip up your nose and back down your throat, and just dissolve it under your tongue the normal way.

∙ 14y agoYou run the risk of a fatal overdose. Alcohol and buprenorphine are both central nervous system depressants, and combining the two results in a much greater effect than either taken separately. This may sound like fun, but it is extremely dangerous.

∙ 12y agoIt gives you an ok high at first but then it makes you sick and it sucks. I've mixed them many times and get sick each time. I like it a lot in the begging of the hi, but give it an hour or two and your puking.

do not snort suboxone, it will not get you high, it is designed to really only work if taken sublingually. Plus that would hurt very bad, trust me just let it dissolve under your tongue or you won't feel anything. I dont know how long it stays in your system but it will get you high if you snort it

Yes. In Treatment they usually wait until 24 hours to give you Subutex. Subutex is the same as Suboxone except Subutex doesn't contain naloxone. You can take the Suboxone as soon as you start to feel withdrawal symptoms which can be anywhere from 6 to 24 hours after your last dose but since is has been 23 hours since your last oxycodone use, I would say you are good to go on the suboxone.Make sure you take the suboxone correctly. Let the suboxone dissolve under your tounge. Don't swallow it because that can cause you to feel immediate withdrawal symptoms. You can't "shoot up" suboxone either because of the naloxone, you will also go into withdrawal immediately. You can snort suboxone, I know someone who does snort their suboxone. I have personally never snorted suboxone because one I do not snort my pain pills(I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 4 years now) and second I read online where suboxone has the same effect whether you snort it or take it like you are supposed to.

In all honesty, you shouldn't snort ANY pills. If you are on suboxone, then you are on it for a reason (ie you are an addict, you have been on opiates legally for an extended period of time, etc), and you should not counter act it. Snorting any crushed pills is a good way to get a deviated septum or other rather nasty nasal disorders, including cancer!

the half life of suboxone is 36 hours. So 72 hours would eliminate the suboxone from you entirely. But depending on your dose you could have oxycodone work sooner. Example if your mu receptors are not filled (2mg suboxone or below). But all in all you will have to wait a full two days before the oxycodone will work to your satisfaction, to my expierence.
