cramps, muscle pains, being really mean for no reason, everything will hurt if u r a girl, then you would see that ur underwear has any brown patches or others. u normally get them by 12-13 or so. sometimes u might leak u will need tampons and pads to stop the leaking while u have ur period

∙ 12y agoThere aren't any signs. But if you are worried that you will get your period and it will go through your underwear or something then don't be. Your first period won't be that bad. Most of the time when you have your first period it will just come out a brown color because when you blood dries it turns brown. Also when you first have your period you will most likely not get it for the normal week but just for a day or two. Your proper period probably won't start for a month or two after that. Another thing that i have also been told is that you will get a kind of white gooey substance in your undies just before your period. But i only got that 3 or 4 months after my first period. But it's different for everyone. And also if your worried that you will get your first period in the water then don't be because the pressure from the water stops the bleeding.

Those are definitely signs of getting your period, but you might have such signs for quite a while before your period starts. It just depends on your body. I personally had cramps and all those signs once a month for a few months before the bleeding actually started. Good luck!
