Mahatma Gandhi faced lots of challenges throughout his life. Although he had the most number of followers than anyone else at that time, there were many other leaders who had different points of view. Gandhi for example is known for his non-violent attitude and policy in politics. Other freedom fighters of the time like Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, etc believed on violence and war as the solution to the problem of freedom. Such a challenge faced by Gandhi also led to the formation of other parties like the "Forward Block" led by Bose.

As we read today that Gandhi helped in acquiring freedom to India through boycott movements, he emphasized on the citizens, it was not as easy as to listen. Convincing such a large population was a big challenge indeed. Most products being foreign, had to be used in one way or the other and to avoid using them was not easy for a normal Joe too.

The main plus point which Gandhi had was the support and trust he received from the general people. This majority helped him in his mission of freedom to India. He was indeed a great leader, because challenges come to everybody; big challenges are solved only by great people. He was one of them.
