Early Beretta's & Corsica's had weak coil packs that were prone to failure. The lock-up torque converter solenoid on A/T equipped cars was also weak and would fail. The 2.8 V6 did not take kindly to overheating, but other than that if taken care of they are not bad cars.

Answer #2 I have owned 4 Beretta's in the past 20 years I love em and the most problems that I have had is wet floors from the area under the lower corners of the wind shield with the hood open under the hood you will see wiring harnesses in each of these corners I found that by using a roofing sealant and pouring it over these prone areas it would stop the rain leaks but these cars also will leak on the passenger side from the a\c condensation you will just have to find and seal that one also the v6 3100 is prone after age to leak motor oil out of the distributor shaft o-ring this will take an o-ring replacement on the shaft I have also read reports of these Chevy V6 engines intake gaskets leaking antifreeze into the crank case oil sorry I'm just being honest for I know these cars well
