There are many different TYPES of addiction, but the form is always the same.

Addiction is a disorder of the brain, located in the part of the brain that is used for "pleasure and gratification" (instant or otherwise).

Here are some types:

ADDICTION TO:

pornography

food

drugs (covers ALL drugs, prescribed and illegal, man made and pharmaceutical, all different types (such as cocaine, heroin, marajuana, inhalants, ecstasy, etc))

alcohol (alcohol IS a drug)

inhalants (glue, paint, etc)

technology ("tech junkies") (gaming, movies, etc)

gambling

Sex

exercise

Almost any pleasurable substance or activity will have someone "addicted" to it, as referenced back to the "pleasure" part of the brain where addiction is located.
