Sadly, it can effect a lot of kids really seriously.

Some kids get bullied so often that they are afraid to go to school, or even show their face in public. But in the most serious cases, some children even, and this is hard to say, but they commit suicide. Somtimes people can be so cruel that kids think that they cannot live another day. If you want to hear some of their stories.. you might want to check out a website called 600 secrets.

The victims feeling scared, vulnerable and alone which no one should feel. Also the bullier (the person doing the bullying) gets punished.

when you get bullied, the bullies make you feel that your not good enough, your a nobody. that you can't speak out cos' they will be after you.

Loss of appetite, concentration levels go down, truancy at school, mood swings are all part of being bullied.

What can be done to limit the incidence of bullying at school?

I think that to limit the incidence of bullying at school there could be a whole school assembly talking about the affects of bullying and true life stories? This way it could show the bullies what pain and hurt is caused by bullying but I also feel that there is no proper way to stop bullying as there are some cruel people in this world who make their own decisions however there are websites you can go on and you can talk to adults as well STOP BULLYING

Do you consider bullying a serious problem in general in schools?

Bullying is a very serious problem in schools worldwide. Every school has some form of bullying, and it is unavoidable. I believe teachers need to be trained to deal with bullying better, as many simply ignore it rather than acting upon what they see. Generally private schools have less bullying than public schools, but they still have the problem. Being bullied as a child affects a person for the rest of their life, and can lead them to depression and perhaps eventually suicide.
