It is stratified by gender, inequality, male-female differences, gender in global perspectives, patriarchy, sexism, socialization, mass media, peer groups, education , income, wealth, politics and military. This is just a few ways that society is stratified. It is also by age, social classes and sexual orientation. These can be in a positive or negative depending on how you are talking. Democracy is a threat to stratification. As I see stratification it is any way that negativity comes into play. This is also the way people think and act. I also think that with this it is keeping women from being what they call male jobs such as executives, doctors and firemen and police officers. This is a form of stereotyping the job force which is a form stratification in Americas society today.
