One example of foreshadowing in "The Fall of the House of Usher" is the decaying state of the mansion and its surroundings, mirroring the physical and mental deterioration of the Usher siblings. Another example is the narrator's sense of impending doom and his unease upon his arrival at the house, which hints at the tragic events that will unfold. Lastly, Roderick's hypersensitivity to sound and light foreshadows his heightened state of anxiety and eventual descent into madness.

The climax of the short story the fall of the house of usher is when the Narrator and Roderick decided to buried Madeline. she keeps going a coma trance several times. although she was still alive, Her brother Roderick still wanted to buried her. climax is always the the decision and turning point for the protagonist not to the reader which people get confused. Because Roderick wanted to buried her so he can break the sick twisted cycle of the ushers ancestors. he knew so what it was wrong marrying his sister and the incest part it also implies the usher and the house has a curse a dark secret into the usher family.
