One example of irony in "The Rocking-Horse Winner" is that the mother, who desires wealth and luxury, is never satisfied no matter how much money her family earns. Another example is that the son Paul achieves success by gambling on horse races, a risky endeavor that ultimately leads to his tragic demise, despite his initial success. These instances of irony highlight the destructive nature of greed and materialism.
