Almost all bars in the Bryan/College Station area (the surrounding community) are good. There is something for everyone, including Karaoke, dance clubs, hookah (tobacco only-duh!), even a gay bar (forgive me if that is not the politically correct term.)
The most popular thing is called NORTHGATE and it is located right near campus (walking distance--don't drink and drive!). People from surrounding towns drive just to party here. Think Bourbon Street or 6th Street, but smaller. If you attend school there, ask ANYONE and they can give you more information.
