Go to the library with them and let them pick out some books with things that they are interested in. You can pick some for them too. The librarian will be able to make some good picks for your child's age and there are all sorts available, age appropriate of course.

Good habits are coming from the society and heridity. If your friends are good, then you will be good. The age between 15 and 18 is the age for learning some good or bad habits. If you are good during that period, you will be definitely good afterwards. Reading good books, practising yoga or exercise or meditation is always good for a person to be good in this world.
