I will say buying a ride mower is a big cost decision and what brand to choose are many.Just some insight is buying a unit from store's like Home Depot, lowe's and even Walmart are the lower grade product's in terms of real quality. If you want a brand wise quality ride mower like JOHN DEERe,Husqvarna, toro, walker and even some cub cadets you need to go to a true dealer for this. The price is not too much higher but,you will buy a better product design for not more real cost!A good example is I purchased a 2012 Husqvarna lgt24k54 (or break down a 24 hp Kawasaki engine mower, with a 54 inch deck).Lowe's sells the same brand with the lower end engine brand such as kohler, and briggs/Stratton and smaller decks. The Big differences are two better engine choice and better deck design from a true dealer for the brand along with some other minor unique feature's.To finish up buying a GOOD ride lawn tractor that will have better engine options, better design and feature's for not much more than a box store GO to a true dealer! The plus's are easier warranty and parts to fix, repair and maintain your mower for long term use.I say go to the box store's and shop and then hit several dealer's to see the REAL difference for your money being spent. The dealer will handle your warranty issue's faster and any maintenance parts are generally IN stock when you need them.I have a a low end mtd ,but a high end Husqvarna and the reason I show the benefit of buying from a dealer over the box store's.Plus most dealers will pick up and deliver your new unit and or come and get in the event of a warranty or break down problem.Other stores leave that up to you.
