Some good classic DVD's are "Wizard of Oz", "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", "The Sound of Music" as well as more contemporary titles. These might include "Tommy Boy", "X-Men" and "Avatar".
There are a wide variety of DVDs that feature classic rock. "History of Rock 'N' Roll," "California Classic Rock," and "Essential Classic Rock," for example, each contain classic rock.

There are several sites where you can rent classic movies. Some examples are shoptcm.com, movieunlimited.com and reelclassics.com. Turner Classic Movies would be a great site as they have all the old movies.

Used DVDs are always cheaper! Amazon sells preowned DVDs that are in good condition. eBay also has cheap used DVDs. Amazon sells new DVDs at a smaller price as well.
There are many places online to find cheap DVDs in good condition. I would suggest looking on eBay or Amazon first. You can find used and new DVDs as low as 99 cents.
Hulu has some good classic movies.
