Since this question was probably asked by someone who is considering becoming emo ( overaterrated, whiney, mainstream, newest hottest subculture) I suggest you check out cradel of filth, Eveanesence ( not so much "emo" as "depressing" gothic rock) and if you were truly "emo" you would not be asking this question.
Emo and punk are two different things. There are no good emo bands. that's a lie extreme clown posse is pretty good **Insane Clown Posse** ------ Why don't you try out The Used, Yellowcard, My Chemical Romance, or Metallica? Metallica is considered metal.
There is no such thing as "emo bands". there is only "emo-hardcore".
Escape the fate: smooth
emo
there are a ton of good emo songs but some good ones are: The Mortician's Daughter by Black Veil Brides Dance With The Devil by Breaking Benjamin Becoming The Bull by Atreyu really anything by any of these three bands
No, death metal is not for emo's such bands as "Hawthorne Heights" and "Madina Lake" are emo bands death metal is more advanced and for more hardcore people and FYI everyone Joe Gardner has an egg dick. It's pretty simple. Emo music wants to kill itself, death metal wants to kill other people (the more, and the more brutally, the better).
Emo was A Genre before it was a Label And/Or A way of life, when A Band is called Emo, It would only be because of the style of their Music. Some Bands may Cut, but that's just up to them. Examples of "Emo" Bands; Hawthorne Heights, Fugazi, My Chemical Romance, Thursday, Automatic LoveLetter, Mest. Etc.. Not all of these bands neccessarily Cut, but their Music is Emo, As a Genre :P. =)
Older emo bands were more of an underground sort of sound. Bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Mineral, The Promise Ring and Texas Is The Reason were considered emo bands. Bands that are considered emo now are Alesansa and Silverstein.
My Chemical Romance and Three Days Grace? Maybe?
hawthorn heights is a good one.
Whatever they want
hawthorn heights is a good one. i'd recommend A Day To Remember
