Cardiovascular exercise three times a week for 20mins at various intensity levels, muscle development on the off days (i.e. weight lifting exercises, push-ups, sit-ups, etc.), and improving diet. Cardio exercise will directly burn calories. Higher muscle density will burn more additional calories through out the day. And a good diet will provide the body's system the right cell regeneration building blocks and natural energy. This exercise method is only a total of three hours a week. Making this plan realistic and easier to incorporate in to a busy routine.

For the 20 minute cardio exercise - Begin the first five minutes at a 5 intensity level to warm up. Then increase your intensity level by one level each new additional minute in the work out. Continue increasing your intensity up to a 9 intensity level and then back off to a 6 intensity level and start over again until the 18th minute. The cardiovascular intensity level should be at a level 10 for the 18th minute. Cool down on the final 20th minute. (Note: If you haven't worked out for awhile...it's best to take this intensity level thing more on the lighter side for the first two weeks. Build up your stamina for awhile to maintain personal motivation. The key is some exercise is better than no exercise. Give it some time to build up the body's resistence to olympic style workouts)

A word regarding the muscle development on the other days of this plan. Higher muscle repetition and at least 3 sets of said repetition, will help the muscle being worked out burn and get leaner. The result will be muscle regrowth, improved muscle density, and more calories burned throughout your day for faster weight loss.

And to top it off for weight loss. Eat a variety of foods in moderation. For faster weight loss results - avoid fatty foods for the majority of the week.
