What are some interesting and unique facts about Newfoundland?

Some facts are that Newfoundland is found on the northeastern part of Canada. Its Natural Resources are mainly iron, pertruleum, and natural gas. Its temperature, well I don't know that! I have been looking that up, but unfortunatly have not gotten an answer. So, please type up your best answer and it will really help me out!

Newfoundland is a Canadian province in east Canada (really east) and its is an island so you will need a ferry ride to get there

once there, there is a lot to see, Gros morn national park, willingate bay and so on

at twillingate bay u can see icebergs and Wales, at Gros morn np u can see fjords and lakes and there are many places around the island with great views and hikes

Newfoundland is interesting because it is an island. It is also interesting that Leif Erickson sailed there and called it Vinland. Newfoundland is now known as Newfoundland and Labrador.
