There are an abundance of natural parks and many National Historic sites. Some example of land forms include the Appalachian Mountains, Bear Mountain (2,326 ft.) part of Taconic Mountains, Canaan Mountain (1,181 ft.), Haystack Mountain (1,716 ft.). Mt. Frissell is on North West border of Connecticut and Massachusetts in the Taconic section (2,380 ft.). There is the Connecticut River, The Twin Lakes and the Berkshires. The largest lake being Lake Candlewood, which is the largest man made lake in the U.S. Many valleys, forests, marshes, dunes and grasslands.
