1) The advancement of science an technology has lead to the making of many carbon dioxide emitting machines (cars, coal electricity plants, etc) this has lead to global warming as the carbon dioxide is trapping the heat from the sun, this has also lead to increase temperature of the waters, this has changed the habitats for sea life and endangered many species.
2) Technology has also created much more efficient ways to kill people (nuclear bombs, biological weapons, guns etc.
3) Technology has made it possible for humans to increase in population at an incredible rate that will not slow until the earth can no longer sustain us all. It is the increased efficiency with which we can harvest food and transport it around the world, among many other reasons that allows our numbers to increase like this , etc.
4) Technology in the area of health pharmaceuticals to combat viruses has led to the creation of far worse viruses that we have been beginning to see in Canada and the U.S. (not sure about other countries) with viruses like SARS and H1N1and many others.
