Where did Francisco Vasquez De Coronado spend the last years of his life?

Discouraged, he returned to Tiguex during the winter of 1541 and later returned to New Galacia. Admiral Mendoza wasn't happy that he returned without any riches, but he realized that he had worked very hard. He made him governor of part of New Spain. Vasquez de Coronado was later accused of abusing the Indians. All charges were eventually removed, but he lost his place as governor. He wasn't very healthy at the time. He became an official in the government of Mexico City, but his health continued to fail. He died in 1552 or 1554.

in 1554.Of Spanish influenza. Yes, he died in 1544, aged 44, in Mexico City, but what caused this is unknown. It is thought that a very serious head injury in 1541, caused when his saddle broke and he was trampled by other horses led to a gradual decline in his health. He wasn't expected to live at the time of the injury.
