Bendix should be the best,semi-matalic
To keep a car running its best, a person has to keep the fluid levels maintained. The 2000 Oldsmobile Alero uses 12 quarts of transmission fluid.Ê
im pretty sure they didnt make an alero in 1998... my best bet would to google it...
Generally not. Your best bet would be go to a wrecking yard.
Oldsmobile no longer exists, so this is based on historical data. The Alero seems to have the best gas milage of the 2004 cars, which was the last model year made.
the best site i know for alero's would be aleromod.com from there just search and you should find it
Your best bet would be to go to an auto parts store that sell Haynes Manuals. They are not very expensive. It will help you in many other matters.

The best way to find out where the leak is coming from is to inspect/observe, if possible. As far as what parts could be the culprit, there's the brake master cylinder, a hydraulic brake hose, or a brake caliper.
There is no definite way to check the ATF in a 2000 Alero. There is a filler cap on the left side of the transaxle, but no dip stick. I changed the filter and fluid in mine recently and measured the drained fluid best I could and replaced it with a like amount plus one and a half quarts. This brought the level that was visible in the filler hole to about two inches below the top. A poor system, at best.
It would be best if you get the repair manual for this vehicle since there are 54 steps that would take to long to type and your local library should have it plus this jobs book time pays 7.5 hours to replace the heater core...
Probably a 10mm. A six point would be best.
