A general clinical pediatrician will spend most of his/her office hours examining children with upper respiratory illnesses, lower respiratory illnesses, and those complications that could arise from either ailment (ear infections, sore throat, pneumonia, Asthma, etc.). Also, a pediatrician will spend an inordinate amount of clinical time assessing children of all ages (birth through 18 years old) on their overall health, development, and well-being.
