You could try Echinaceia but theres no solid proof per word of the FDA that it works.
You can do what people used to do. Keep warm and quiet, get lots of rest, drink lots of liquids and help your body fight off the infection. And it will usually go away eventually.
Or you can do what people do today. Go to a doctor and get antibiotics and you'll feel better in a day or two.
Strep throat can lead to some really nasty after-effects, like Heart disease, horrible Arthritis, etc. So I would probably choose the latter. Antibiotics are really a miraculous thing.
