Rose FitzGerald (JFK's Mom) Helped him get raised

Sr.Joesph P. Kennedy(JFK's Dad) Same thing while raising 8 other children

Schooling greatly influenced the way John thought. He attended no public schools, only private schools. For elementary he went to both Brookline and Riverdale in New York state, both suburbs of New York City. Then at the age of thirteen he was enrolled at Canterbury School in New Milford, Connecticut by his father. At fourteen he transferred to Wallingford, Connecticut, to the Choate Academy. At the age of 18 in 1935 he graduated Choate Academy, voted most likely to succeed. And it seemed like his fellow students who voted him that were right he did succeed, as a president, and in life as a whole. Another big influence was that, in September 1941, after medical disqualification by the Army for his chronic lower back problems, Kennedy joined the U.S. Navy, with the director of the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI). Kennedy was an ensign serving in the office of the Secretary of the Navy when the attack on Pearl Harbor occurred. He then attended the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps and Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron Training Center, was assigned duty in Panama and later in the Pacific theater where he earned the rank of lieutenant, commanding a patrol torpedo (PT) boat.

JFK was sick a lot - chicken pox, colds and flu, chronic back pain, measles etc. He was hospitalized for a lot of his youth.

He went to Cape Cod and played a lot of sports: sailing, football, Baseball etc.

He grew up with 3 brothers and 5 sisters, his mother and his father, who was U.S. Ambassador to London under President Franklin Roosevelt.

He got in trouble a lot in high school - once he exploded a toilet and it almost got him expelled.

He lost his virginity to a prostitute at age 17.
