A very popular tourist area in Mexico City is Chapultapec park, a sprawling park that contains a zoo, national monuments, as well as a beautiful museum inside an old castle. The park is very family friendly, and there are many street vendors who sell toys along the sidewalks of the park. Another place to check out is the Museo de Anthropologico. This museum boasts an amazing collection of Aztec and Mayan art, including the famous Aztec Calendar. Just outside the museum, at certain times of day, there are traditional Aztec "pole flyers"- men who dress in traditional Aztec garb and literally fly around a pole 100 feet high. Mexico City is full of beautiful monuments, as well, and I suggest taking a trip to a local grocery store. Most have full bakeries in the back, which carry empanadas and other delicious Mexican baked goods.
