Unique features of the Hebrew language:

• Hebrew is the only known language in human history to have ceased to be a spoken language and then revived again millennia later.
• Itamar Ben-Avi (1882-1943) was the first person in about 2,500 years to be a native speaker of Hebrew.
• Hebrew has two classical dialects: Ashkenazi and Sefardi. Modern Hebrew is based on the Sefardi dialect.
