Being bullied is usually a hard thing to avoid... Avoid the bullies if possible. Do not show any signs that you are scared. If you do not react to what the bully says or do, they will eventually lose interest. Try not to be alone at all times and be with your friends. Do not show a sign of weakness, because it might have been why the bully picked on you.Tell an adult that you trust, someone you know who will help you. Do not share your private information to everyone like e-mail address or phone numbers. Tell just people you can actually trust because this will keep you from getting bullied.

Tricky question. Im going to refer to your bully simply as "Bully". Bullies usually travel in packs. It gives them a sense of power. Bully's cronies are with Bully to laugh at his jeering comments or back Bully up in a fight. They are usually there out of fear that Bully will bully them too. A good move is to turn Bully's cronies against Bully. While your at it, get help with your friends for this and try to get as many people as you can against Bully. DO NOT start a physical fight. If you succeed in turning Bully's cronies against Bully(It wont happen within a day. It takes time.) Bully will feel alone and try to show off more than usual to look tough again. This is when you strike. Get everyone who has a problem with Bully, or doesn't like the way he treats others, to back you up in confrontation. This is where you are defined as a person. In the confrontation, you must use words with you friends to tell Bully you do not like the way he acts. Get people to help you. Peer pressure is a great weapon against bullys. Be careful how you use it though. This will put Bully down. Bully will most likely be a quiet kid on the inside. Bully might be your friend now. Be careful how you use this new found power of people backing you up and supporting you. The origanal Bully might be gone, but you might become Bully with your power. Depending on the person you are, you might be the next top Bully. I know from experience this technique works. I was once a Bully. Hope this helps.

Best way to handle bullies is to always stay in a group. Bullies usually travel in groups of one and usually only pick on people that are alone. Make a bunch of friends and always stay with them. This will get rid of any solo bullies. As for bullies that travel in groups, that's a different story. For me rolling with the punches works pretty well. Lets say that your over weight, make a joke about it before they have the chance to use it against you or make the joke right after to show strength. So for example if someone was to say that your as wide as you are tall respond with something like "It's all good, just means I'm a bounce house." This makes the bully/bullies laugh and learn that it is not going to get to you. Going to teachers doesn't work, all they do is say, for instance, "Mike came to us and said that you were harassing him. What do you have to say about this Dan?" Dan (the bully) is likely to respond with "I haven't said anything to him." Leaving the teacher to say "Oh OK." Which makes the bully angry at Mike (The kid getting bullied) leading to Mike getting beaten up. So my advice is to form a group and make them laugh.

Say something. Truly, when students intervene or get involved, the bullying stops within 10 seconds over 50 percent of the time. You can also simply help raise awareness against both bullying & cyberbullying.

There are a number of ways one can prevent cyber bullying. Don't use your full name on websites so you cannot be found as easily. Only contact people on the internet that you know and trust in real life.
