A true anaphylatic reaction to the antibiotics would be swelling of the face & throat within approximately 5-15 minutes of being given the antibiotic. Sometimes the cat simply cannot tolerate the antibiotics and will vomit, etc. The antibiotics can be very harsh on their stomach. Be sure to tell your Veterinarian immediately any reactions the cat is having and the Vet can switch to another type of antibiotic. Be sure to give your cat the pills after or just before he or she eats.
