No start ,engine missfire
It is important to recognize when poor performance is due to a bad car part. Symptoms of a bad camshaft sensor are misfiring, hesitation during acceleration, and not starting.
No start, dies off, cuts out.
Some will run rough and not run at all.
engine light will go on and give you code
It may run but the best course of action is to have it checked out right away. If the cam sensor is bad, the engine could be damaged beyond repair.
Check engine light, rough running engine, no start at all.
Just replaced the sensor in my continental and it is no starts and will run flawlessly but won't be a reliable car
when my camshaft sensor was going bad, the vehicle refused to crank after being driven and parked for a few minutes. If you wait a little while it may crank. I heard of people pouring water on the sensor casing to crank them also.
Mine went into transmission failsafe mode, and takes off very very slow
NO. If the camshaft is broken it will not run. If the camshaft is worn it will run poorly.
