The seven characteristics of life are a set of rules that all living things but have or do. Living things must be able to grow, reproduce, adapt, use energy, be composed of cells, have levels of organizations, and respond to the environment.
1. Living things are made of cells. Animal cells are round and plant cells are rectangular.
2. Living things reproduce. Cells reproduce by splitting into two. We reproduce by giving birth. Plants reproduce by spreading seeds.
3. Living things respond to the environment. PLants face the sun to get energy.
4. Living things need energy. Animals get energy by eating plants or other animals. Plants get energy from the sun.
5. Living things have a lifespan. They have to die sometime.
6. Living things produce waste. Our kidneys get waste from our blood.
7. Living things grow or mature. Childhood to adulthood.
Hope this helps ;D
