I assume you mean computers with a monitor which sit on a desk and have a keyboard. In that case, the advantages are that they are easier to use and easier to repair than the modern alternatives. Typing on a full-sized computer and using an actual mouse is really easier than a lot of the newer replacements.

The disadvantages would be the size, weight, clutter, and lack of portability (excluding decent laptops which are very close to classical computers). One and two piece units are a good compromise, since there is only one power cord, no video cord, and often no speaker wires (built-in speakers) and no network cord (WIFI). So they have nearly the same ease of use without a lot of wires and clutter. They are easier to steal, however, just like laptops, palmtops, and smart phones.
