According to the factory service manual:
Castor service checking should be +1.7 degrees, but is not adjustable.
Camber service checking should be 0 +- .5 degree Service setting is 0 degrees.
I am not equipped to do wheel alignments so I have never really learned much about them, so I take mine to a shop.
I hope that will be of some value to you, perhaps another can give any other information.
Adding or removing the shims on the upper control arm can adjust camber and caster.
Alignments are best left to the pros as special guages are required to measure the angles of at least Caster,Camber, and Toe. The Upper Control Arms on this vehicle do have Cam adjustments for Camber and Caster but Factory Plugs must be removed before adjustment can be made.
how do u adjust the camber on a 1990 Z71
There are several shims that could be used such as starter shims (for adjusting drive gear to ring gear), caster/camber shims (for front end alignment), body shims (for aligning body panels),
The first thing that I would check is the ball joints. Make sure that they are installed correctly or are not bad. This could be one thing to check.
OK, you have a 1982 Chevy Celebrity. Do you have a question?
I have a maunual that states, "Camber and castor can be adjusted, but only after an adjustment kit at GM dealers, is installed. My manual is 1988 thru 1998, All Models and 1999 and 2000, C/K Classics, 2WD and 4WD. I also experience this when I had new tires installed and asked them to align it. They couldn't and I was quoted about $200.00 dollars labor to install the kit. This could very easily apply to your 2001 Chevy.
Yes there are Torx fasteners used in a Chevy Celebrity.
Located where upper a arm bolts to vehical you will see 2 1/4 in bolts come off from fram you will see 2 stacks of rectangle shape shims with lock nut holding them n place
There is no such thing as a 1991 Chevy Celebrity
There is no relay for the tail lights on a Chevy Celebrity.
To adjust the valves on a Chevy Celebrity 2.5L 4 cylinder engine I would recommend that you consult a manual, either factory or Chilton or Haynes. There you will find not only how to do the adjustment but the settings to use to adjust the valves in the correct closed position.
