One of the common faults is clutch dust falling into the starter motor which is created by the dual composite flywheel. When too much dust gets in it the starter motor does not work and needs to be taken out and cleaned. This is ONLY a temporary solution. This occurs more frequently towards the end of the life of the clutch. Only answer is to replace clutch aswell as the flywheel. Approx cost parts and labour £650 NOT cheap.
Ford has only made one model of the Mondeo Ghia X, however; there are many previous models of the Mondeo. There are Mondeo models dating back to 1992 and there are five different generations of these models. The most recent model is better known as the Ford Fusion.
All ford diesels from around 2002 onward have a timing chain, I have an 05 mondeo 2.0tdci ghia estate and this has the timing chain, so no cambelt worries or costs.

if your mondeo is a duratorq engine then it should have a camchain
Wiring diagrams for my mondeo are in the Haynes Manual. Go to www.haynes.co.uk or go to a Halfords wher they stock most of the manuals. Always get a haynes manual :)
its the second wired plug towards the engine on the air intake pipe
No because the glass size and the mountings for the door are different.
the fly wheel is the thing that goes on a mondeo, so you better do that @ he same time as the clutch, but you are looking at £800 -1000 all in, but only use original ford parts, not patnt, cos u will regret it on the mondeo
