Most people call them the Moors, but this is both factually incorrect (due to large periods of Non-Moor rule) and the word "Moor" is considered both outdated and mildly offensive (the same way that the term "Colored" for a Black person is both considered outdated and mildly offensive). The proper term for Moors today is Amazigh, but most people use the term Berber as well.
The Umayyad Caliphate (which ruled from 711 C.E. to 1038 C.E) was actually an Arab government, the Amazigh occupied many leadership positions, but the rulership was always Arab. Most Umayyad Caliphs would take Iberian Christian wives, so ethnically, they were everything but Amazigh.
The fall of the Umayyad led to numerous independent Muslim states called Taifas. Most were controlled by Amazigh, but some were controlled by Arabs, some by Black Africans, and some by Iberian Muslims. The Almoravid and Almohad Dynasties from Morocco (which were Amazigh) conquered the Taifas in the 1100s, but were driven out by the Christian Kingdoms. This led to a return to the diverse Taifas, which were all conquered by the Christian Kingdoms by 1300 except for the Nazari Kingdom of Granada (which survived for nearly 200 more years) and was ethnically Amazigh.

No. Amazigh (Berbers) in Spain are Amazigh in Spain. Historically, when Muslims ruled the majority or a minority of Spain, there were four different ethnic groups of Muslims in Spain: Amazigh, Arabs, Muladís (ethnic Spaniard Muslims), and Saqaliba (former Slavic Slaves who gained their freedom and converted to Islam). Each of these Muslim groups is called by their ethnic identity or as Muslims asa unity.A lot of times, people refer to the Amazigh as Moors, but this term is considered pejorative by the Amazigh.
