The advantages of contraceptive film are its compact size, that it's available without a prescription, and that it can provide private pregnancy protection if the woman needs to hide contraception. It can be used in addition to other methods, like condoms or hormonal Birth Control.

The disadvantages are that it is not terribly effective on its own. Some women find it irritating.

The pros about the oral pills is that they don't cause you to gain weight like the patch or deprovera shot do. Also some birth control pills have proven to help acne. The bad thing is you have to take it the same time everyday, and if you don't your chances of getting pregnant get higher. If you have a hard time remembering things the pill is not for you. Also there are some other side effects. Like getting nauseous and dizzy. Though those symptoms normally go away after a few months of using the pill. Also even though you are on the an oral contraceptive doctors still suggest you using a condom during intercourse to protect yourself against STD's.
