dual injectors spray more fuel into the engine causing a bigger explosion in the combustion cycle. but, with the added fuel there is added pressure and usually there is a second sparkplug to accomidate for the extra fuel to ignite.
Yes, all modern engines run on fuel injectors.
It's direct injection, under compression as is used in diesel engines. Most automobile injectors are either throttle body (sort of like a carburetor with one or two injectors serving all cylinders) or manifold injection with an injector for each cylinder.
It depends on what you mean by "injector" The first Diesel engines had Nozzles called injectors in the late 1800s Bosch started the Gasoline injection revolution before the second world war and still holds most of the patents for this technology
on tbi engines 2 injectors 2 wires to 1 injector same to other on seqential inj 8 injectors 2 wires each 1wire fused positive feed other goes to ecu is then switched electronically on and off by ecu
The exact procedure varies for the engines that were available in this car. Roughly:Disconnect batteryDisconnect air intake pipe,Disconnect throttle and cruise control linkage and any linkage for the transOn most engines, not all, remove the upper intake manifold being sure to unhook any wiring and any hosesThe injector rack should be exposed.Disconnect fuel lines, unplug injectors, blow dirt away from injectors and lift injector rack out, using penetrating oil to lube the o rings at the base of the injectors will helpReassemble as reverse of disassembly.
NEWTIBURON.com says 190CC for both the V6 and the I4 engines (the injector model is different but the capacity is the same) * You should change the injectors if you are boosting it but the stock pump can handle up to 250HP
If the engine is throttle body injected, (most GM engines are) you'll find the injectors in the throat of the throttle body. If it's manifold injected (not likely for a bigger GM engine), check the intake manifold for the location of the injectors.
It depends on the engine. Most of your 2010 engines have computer-controlled injectors. Older engines use "unit injectors" where a camshaft determines when to fire fuel into the cylinder.
no i dont think you can use diesel fuel injector cleaner in gas engines
Simply put these engines use an injection system called HEUI or Hydraulically-actuated, Electronically-controlled Unit Injectors. These injectors require a high pressure oil pump to supply the injectors oil pressure to actuate the internal injector piston to push fuel into the system. No oil pressure, no fuel.
Don't waste your money on after market injector cleaner. There are cleaning systems designed for cleaning injectors but are really only applicable to deisel fueled engines. The gasoline to day is clean , has agents that don't allow deposits to build up and believe it or not, injector cleaner is nothing but very high octane gasoline!!
The Vortec Engines with the Spyder, or octopus type fuel injectors had issues with the clip on the fuel injector harness breaking. thus, causing it to come loose which would cause random misfires. also causes could be low compression, bad plugs and wires, dirty injectors, cattilytic converters.
