An important goal in peer-to-peer networks is that all clients provide resources, including bandwidth, storage space, and computing power. Thus, as nodes arrive and demand on the system increases, the total capacity of the system also increases. This is not true of a client-server architecture with a fixed set of servers, in which adding more clients could mean slower data transfer for all users. The distributed nature of peer-to-peer networks also increases robustness in case of failures by replicating data over multiple peers, and -- in pure P2P systems -- by enabling peers to find the data without relying on a centralized index server. In the latter case, there is no single point of failure in the system. When the term peer-to-peer was used to describe the Napster network, it implied that the peer protocol was important, but, in reality, the great achievement of Napster was the empowerment of the peers (i.e., the fringes of the network) in association with a central index, which made it fast and efficient to locate available content. The peer protocol was just a common way to achieve this.
Peer 2 peer connections have very good advantages for small type of network.
1) It is easy to install.
2) Configuration of computers is easy.
3) Users can control their shared resources.
4) The cost and operation of this network is less.
5) It is ideal for small businesses having ten or fewer computers.
6) It needs an operating system and a few cables to get connected.
7) A full time network administrator is not required.
8) Collaboration with other computers.
9) Resiliency (easily recoverable after threat due to small network)
peer 2 peer network is still in research for large network implementation..

Peer to peer networks are easy to set up because they do not require any special devices to connect the nodes in the network. As a result, they are less expensive networks to create. They also do not require a network administrator to manage them.
Peer-to-peer networking is the process of connecting several computers so that they can talk to each other without using a main server. This type of networking has been popular with smaller businesses and home users for several years. Experts used to recommend peer-to-peer if you had 10 computers or less. That criterion is not as meaningful today, since newer technology has expanded the number of computers that can be connected using this configuration.
The expense of a server is difficult to justify for most home networks.
It makes you think of more things because there are two of you. If you are making another peers efforts it makes you think about your work and what you could change if you had the time or in the future.

Answering "What are the advantages and disadvantages of OSI model?"
Its faster and has no or reduced interference however it is more expensive
No....Viruses can not be good in anyway....SORRY
The advantage of computer networking is people have the ability to interact with others with less restriction. The disadvantage is people are losing social skills.
The advantages of social networking sites are that they allow you to keep in touch with people that you would not on normal circumstances such as old High school friends, old coworkers and even some family depending on how far you live apart.
the disadvantage os stp that it is time consuming.
it is the best n the fastest way to keep urself updated.
the advantage of the network is see all computers in one hub
Barracuda Network has an easy purchase and return policy. One of the main advantages a Barracuda Network is that they have an award-winning security, networking, and storage solutions.
