The ribbons you earn (at least some) can be worn as an adult
There were 3229 various JROTC units as of June 2006 (1555 Army JROTC, 794 Air Force JROTC, 619 Navy JROTC, 260 Marine Corps JROTC, 1 Coast Guard JROTC). Additionally, there are cadet programmes outside of JROTC (such as the Young Marines, Civil Air Patrol, Explorer Scouts) which may or may not be school based.
The JROTC regulations do not specifically address the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), as it is a separate organization. However, some JROTC units may have partnerships or mutual support agreements with CAP. In such cases, the specific regulations and guidelines will be determined by the agreement between the JROTC unit and CAP.
There is none.
Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps
Yes there is JROTC in Hawaii.
If you live near a high school that has a JROTC program, you can talk to both principals, your parents, and/or whoever else need be involved, you can technically attend the other school's JROTC program. You will most likely have to provide transportation, though. It is different with every school district. I know for a fact that a small, determined group of students can get a program started at their through petitioning. As long as your school meets the population requirement. Look into it. All the JROTC's websites are informative. If after this you still cannot join JROTC, you should start looking at other programs such as CAP (Civil Air Patrol), BSA (Boy Scouts of America), Girl Scouts, Young Marines, U.S Naval Sea Cadet Corps, U.S Army Cadet Corps or Sea Scouts (a BSA activity).
Jrotc is from the army and algebra is math.
Boy scouts would be similar. There's also army Jrotc, ROTC, Other than that I'm not sure. Civil air patrol would be the program most similar to your own and I've worked with the army just as often as the airforce in that program. Try looking around or asking you unit commander.
The Young Marines or the Sea cadets are like JROTC.
Not exactly. The closest thing to JROTC in Canada would be the Cadet Program. It is extremely similar to JROTC, however it is not integrated into schools.
It makes no difference. If you have been in JROTC for 2 years (i think), then you get a rank advance no matter what branch you enlist in. If you enlist in the Army, you will leave basic training as a PFC. I am also in AFJROTC but i am either joining the army or navy.
JROTC is an acronym for Junior Reserve Officers' Training.
