i believe that animals should hire teenager of at least 16 or 17 years of age. there are many teens out were i live who say that they would like to become vets. i truly love animals and have helped many animals in my life time. i once or twice got mad that the animals were uncooperate with the thing i was trying to do and i would smack them on the rearend. i then learned that that was wrong to do. but any ways my friends keep asking me when they could become a part of what i wrote. well, thanks for the opprotunity to say something lik this.
so why question is can a 11 year old work at a animal shelter
You must be 14 at some, but a rule of thumb is that you must be at least a freshman in high school. At least, at most of them this is true. Also, at some, if you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian with you. I would check with your local shelter. Just give them a call and ask for more information.
This is my own opinion not fact as I don't know what state you are in and what state laws exist for your state.
But I do think you have to be at least 18 years of age.
I also think that you have had to have a little more then experience with animals like feeding and dealing with them daily. At least a certificate/degree in some further medicine and/or treatments of animals so that you can recognize and understand an animal that is hurt and how to treat the animal and grasp the animal.
I am sure there is something of some kind of training with that, that you would not have to be a veterinarian per say, but at least some kind of knowledge of animals and such so you can care for everything till you can get them to the vet and/or can get the vet to get to you!
It depends on the shelter. Most will accept volunteers as young as 14, but it may differ by state. Go and ask at the shelter you want to work at.
It totally depends on the animal shelter itself. Some say 14, others say 16, still others, I'm sure, say 18. Contact your local shelter and ask if they would allow you to volunteer there.
I believe any age!! you may have to get parent permission, but most animal shelters would LOVE to have any kind of volunteer!
you can ether get in or help by being 16 or if your younger and the owner is nice you can be a little younger
yes, sometimes, but in certain places a 13 year old can only volunteer.
probably about 14,15 but that's just a guess
My child is at an age where they want a pet. I know there are many unwanted pets out there and most get taken up by the wonderful animal shelters and want one from there. I would like to find out which animal shelters are in my area?
no they rape you
well no animal shelter takes kids

You can volunteer at a pet shelter at the age of 12 or 13. But at that age the only things you can do are: feeding, watering, combing and brushing. If not, they may not let children volunteer at Shelters because the fear of animals being aggressive and having the children be hurt by the animals. Just look into it and see. :)
You would have to check with your local animal shelters to see the age at which you can volunteer. It's good to volunteer in your community, so ask!
You could mow lawns, babysit, wash windows, rake leaves, and volunteer at animal shelters.
It depends on the shelter and your age....many shelters do accept volunteer help.
changing their diet, building studier shelters, and making warm clothes out of animal fur.
well, there is plenty that you could do at this age. For example: volunteering at a nursing home cleaning up garbage on the beach (with life guard permission) volunteering at an animal shelter
Yes, animal shelters will take senior animals. But they shouldn't have to. If you get a pet and are its parent for 11 years, you shouldn't dump your pet off at a shelter. You keep it through its old age, and its old age issues. Don't give up a pet because you are all its ever known and loved for that length of time... It would die of heartbreak.
They were stone age hunter/gatherers, who lived in caves and rock shelters.
