None that I know of. However, Stephen Stills of Buffalo Springfield tried out for the Monkeees but was turned down. Stills then convinced Peter Tork to try out, and Tork got the part. Stills later combined with David Crosby of the Byrds and Graham Nash of the Hollies to form Crosby, Stills, and Nash.
From what I have read, while in his his early 20's, David Crosby developed an interest in folk music and joined a group called Les Baxter's Balladeers. While traveling with this group he met Cass Elliot, , who was a member of a group called The Big Three. Cass introduced him to Graham Nash of the British group The Hollies. After the breakup of the Byrds, David joined with Nash and Stephen Stills to form Crosby, Stills & Nash. David Crosby did have a big infatuation with Joni Mitchell, however.

David Crosby of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young is the biological father of Melissa Etheridge's son Beckett.
The Hollies are an English band from the sixties - You might recognize the name Graham Nash from Crosby, Stills, and Nash. He is the one in the Hollies with the incredibly tuned falsetto on the high parts. Hey Carrianne, Bus Stop, and later, He Ain't Heavy; He's My Brother are well known songs by the band, and they were definitely not a one-hit-wonder band. (By the way, Stephen Stills came from Buffalo Springfield, and David Crosby came from the Birds.
The song was written about the 1970 shootings during a non-violent peace rally at Kent State University in Ohio, where 4 people were killed by the National Guard.
Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young from the David Crosby song "Almost Cut My Hair" on the "De'ja' Vu" album, released on March 11 1970.
Tough question..since the group at the time sang in (almost) perfect harmony, with no discernable lead voice on many of their recordings. David Crosby was undeniably the main voice on most of that particular cut, along with considerable help in the high register from ex-Holly Graham Nash, support from ex-Buffalo Springfield Steven Stills, and a lot of overdubbing. Hope that helps...
