Not only that, but you would need an emulator to play the games on your computer, since they were origionaly formatted to be played on the console system. Emulators that would work are also illegal without the proper liscencing from Nintendo. It would be best to just buy a Gamecube system and the games you want to play.

Arguably the greatest game for the Nintendo GameCube would be Super Smash Bros. Melee. This is a great game to play with friends. Some others would be Metroid Prime, The Legend of Zelda (Windwaker and Twilight Princess), Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Monkey Ball 2.
The "best" GameCube emulator is currently Dolphin. It can run most games at 50% of actual speed, with limited sound capability.
